The Aldwell Center is founded at the Conservatory of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (JAMD). The Center is a living homage to Edward Aldwell (1938-2006) — distinguished American pianist, scholar, and teacher — and commemorates his outstanding personality and rich professional heritage.   Under the leadership of its Honorary President, Murray Perahia, and the guidance of a distinguished international Board of Advisors, the activities of the Aldwell Center are managed by its Artistic Director, Lea Agmon.
This site lists the Aldwell Center's current and upcoming program of activities and maintains a record of past events.
     
The esteemed American pianist, Richard Goode, will appear as a guest of the Aldwell Center and of the Arthur Rubinstein Society in a single benefit recital for the nurturing of young pianists. In addition, Mr. Goode will conduct master classes at the Aldwell Center of the Jerusalem Academy and at the Jerusalem Music Center.

The EAC congratulates pianist Sonia Rubinsky on her 2009 Latin Grammy® Award for the Naxos recording, VILLA-LOBOS Piano Music Vol 8. This marks the first time a Naxos recording has received a Latin Grammy® for Best Classical Album.
Ms Rubinsky has recorded all of Villa-Lobos’s piano music for Naxos. A boxed set featuring all 8 volumes is planned for release in 2010.
Sonia Rubinsky is a member of the EAC Board of Advisors.
