The Aldwell Center is founded at the Conservatory of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (JAMD). The Center is a living homage to Edward Aldwell (1938-2006) — distinguished American pianist, scholar, and teacher — and commemorates his outstanding personality and rich professional heritage.

Under the leadership of its Honorary President, Murray Perahia, and the guidance of a distinguished international Board of Advisors, the activities of the Aldwell Center are managed by its Artistic Director, Lea Agmon.
