Georg Sava was born in Bucharest, Romania, and studied at the conservatories of Tirgu Mures and Cluj. After graduation, Georg Sava was active as a pianist and teacher. He appeared first as a pianist in 1957 with the State Philharmonic of Tirgu Mures. Since then he has played in numerous recitals and concerts as soloist with national philharmonic orchestras in Romania. In 1977 Georg Sava moved to Germany, where he resumed his concert career. Since 1990 he has performed regularly with various orchestras in Berlin and in Romania. Georg Sava has had a distinguished career as a teacher in Romania and in Germany. He was guestteacher at the State Academy of Music in Stuttgart, piano teacher at Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg. In 1979 he was a visiting professor at the University of the Arts, where he was appointed professor in 1982. In 1997 George Sava was appointed professor of piano at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler in Berlin.Among his students are numerous winners of national and international competitions. .
